This past Saturday, the City of Austin closed a two mile stretch of Sixth Street for Viva Streets, a day long festival of active transportation and, well, fun! The Lone Star Chapter set up a table and asked people to make a sign saying why they loved to walk, bike, or skate. There was a lot of love!
Love from the Texas Roller Derby ladies and Chris Riley!
Best friends walk together!
Serious love!
The Central Austin Youth League All Star Sluggers show their love for playing together (and their moms). These kids do everything with enthusiasm.
True love.
He came up all the way from San Antonio to ride with friends.
Walking is good for the heart and soul–yes!
That’s just a few of the pictures–see all the rest here. Thanks to everyone who came out to say hello and share the love!

It looks like you guys have a ton of fun . Walking is great , we know that , but if you take a recycled plastic with you when you walk and gather any recyclable garbage on your way , you are helping our environment as well. Every little helps.Have a fabulous w/e.
