With all the latest blockbusters having explosions as focal points of their movies (i.e. Transformers 3), it seems only fitting that the explosive and exploitative practice of mountain top removal takes center stage in the new documentary The Last Mountain. The practice of mountain top removal, which is utilized for the extraction of coal, has buried over 2000 miles of streams, destroyed 500 Appalachian mountains and obliterated over 1 million acres of forest.
This amazing documentary will be playing in Austin, Texas- running from July 15-21 at the Regal Arbor Cinema at Great Hills.
